FBTA Mountain Laurel Ride
Sunday, May 30th, 2009 We got a great turn out and an incredible day for our mountain laurel ride - only no mountain laurel flowers! Apparently it will be a couple of weeks before they are in bloom. The tailgating party afterwards welcomed husbands and friends who had biked up to the park and children and dogs who were brought along to enjoy the gorgeous afternoon under the trees, while the horses grazed along side.

2008 Scheduled Rides:

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2008 at 1:00 pm - SOUTHPORT
Please meet Dorothy Porter (on her big black horse Charlie) at 1 pm at the corner of Morehouse and Cedar Road in Southport. It is an FBTA/FCH Pony Club ride, walk/trot and w/t/c trail option. For more information please contact Dorothy Porter at dmeekporter@optonline.net.

SUNDAY, MAY 25th, 2008 at 2:00 pm - ASPETUCK FIELD, SOUTHPORT
Dorothy Porter will lead a Memorial Day Ride in Lower Greenfield Hill on Sunday, May 25th at 2:00 pm. We will meet at the Aspetuck field at the corner of Morehouse Lane and Cedar Road in Southport. Trailers- please park on the field-side of the street; it may be possible also to park in the field, we are inquiring. Beaglers and walkers are welcome to join, and a tailgate party will be held following the ride. If you are interested in joining us please rsvp to ariane@fairfieldbridletrails.org.
Because this ride will take us over private land we need all participants to be members of the FBTA. Please see our membership page for an application.

SUNDAY, APRIL 27th, 2008 at 2:00 pm - BRETT WOODS
Dorothy Porter and Deborah Webb organized our Spring Ride at Brett Woods on Sunday, April 27th. Fun was had by all and we're looking forward to the next ride and tailgate party. Here are some photos from the day. Many thanks to Vivian and her husband for hosting!
